Cipralex Depression Medication

Many people who take Cipralex have a deep dark depression issue happening. While most people experience some form of depression, long term depression that goes untreated could be harmful. The generic name for Cipralex is escitalopram oxalate and is prescribed for depression by a physician. Extensive testing is performed on drugs before the food and drug administration approves them. There are many different variations of anti depressant drugs but unfortunately the human body is different from person to person. Most drugs are prescribed by a statistical average.  The average person usually responds well to one particular type of medication but every person is different. If Cipralex does not work for a person there are other medications that could and are used.

Cipralex has a lot of different warnings that are associated with taking the medication. People who have been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder should not take Cipralex. Women who are pregnant or preparing to be pregnant should not take this drug. People taking this prescription are also prone to thinking about hurting themselves and might plan to do so. A person taking Cipralex may have a sudden change in behavior that includes becoming aggressive or irritable. This drug should not be taken with alcohol. Some of the side effects of taking this drug could include convulsions or fits in which case it makes it extremely important for anyone taking Cipralex to consult a physician during all phases of their treatment. The prescribed dosage amount given by a physician should always be followed and never exceeded.

Cipralex has many side effects that could potentially happen while taking the prescription, the most common being weakness, tiredness, drowsiness, anxiety, insomnia and dry mouth. More severe side effects can include difficulty in breathing, upset stomach, diarrhea, sweating, blurred vision and dizziness.  Cipralex has some severely extreme side effects that if they occur should be immediately reported to a doctor. These include fever, difficulty in peeing, skin rash, and yellowness in the eyes, irregular heartbeat, sexual difficulties, and muscle spasms. Again it must be stressed that anyone who is taking Cipralex and experiences the more extreme side effects should immediately seek the attention of a doctor.
