Explaining the Real Meaning of Ecchymosis

Ecchymosis a term that originates from ancient Greek and it is used to describe the kind of bruises that occur within a human body. Normally in the daily course of life all chores however assert different amount of pressure to the human body with a view to making the day successful and worthwhile living. This form of disease is rather different and the real meaning comes to be that skin discoloration which is normally caused by the blood escaping into body tissues from many other ruptured vessels carrying blood in the body. Body parts such as mucous membranes can be the places where such blood can be seen to ooze out in the mouth.

Further still this is an injury which usually happens but in most cases it does not break the skin at all; however discolorations ranging from purple to black colors are often the results. Many people and also experts view it as a very biological process because it goes on to involve only its tissues and happens only in living organisms. Ecchymosis is a serious disease and thus it must be taken care for when it occurs; however the following is the process of its occurrences and all that triggers the activities to take place among the living organisms. Macrophages degrade the red blood cells making them phagocytosed only after a very little trauma in the body.

Blue red color therefore gets produced by the hemoglobin conversion into biliburin and this has a different color that is almost blue green though with deeper black in it. At this point hemosiderin therefore becomes the product of biliburin conversion, the color now changes into a deep golden brown one that is responsible for that change of the bruise color. Ecchymosis is among one of the great components of hematomas and so different doctors will prefer to use the same name to describe all the behaviors in the same disease.

Other names such as purpurae and petechia also exist and they do posses close symptoms like the latter and so in many instances they are hidden as doctors see them as so close whilst others prefer to make them separate. Medical practitioners in many cases will tend to vary in the way they handle the diseases or rather casual behavior of the body tissues and so in the event of any problem with them then patients must be very careful on certain color changes with any part of their skin. This will assist in curbing extended problems that may come up easily.
