Mole Removal Surgery and Other Modern Treatments

There are no known malignant diseases yet caused by moles but years of studies arrive into a conclusion that mole removal must be initiated as early as possible in order to prevent further multiplication. The are several known causes or origin of moles. It is often related to as hereditary or genetic and is being passed by parents to their siblings from one generation to the other. Exposure to the sun can further trigger the occurrence of moles. Moles more specifically occur to woman during their age of puberty, pregnancy and even on the stage of the menopausal period.

Though it is much of prevention rather than a method of treatment, today’s mole removal approaches are more likely intended for personal beautification or primarily for cosmetic reasons. A mole can grow up a size of a pencil eraser and the number of moles that can be present in certain portions of your skin can grow up to a number of one hundred or more. This is the stage wherein medical practitioners often relate the situation to be very close to the skin cancer condition or malignant tumor known as Melanoma. Moles can appear as tiny black dots, as skin tags or that of which resembles a map-like pattern. There are also raised or flat moles with dark, coarse hair on it.

As a method of preventing serious skin problems that may result when symptoms or unusual occurrences of moles are ignored, mole removal surgery is oftentimes the result or recommendation of a medical practitioner’s diagnosis.  There are many modern methods of surgery and one of the most popular yet expensive one is the laser surgery. This method entails no cutting device but a laser device that leaves a little scarring on the skin after the entire procedure.

Cauterization method is done by burning off the mole until it is completely removed. The open wound is then healed with the aid of antibiotics that is placed within the wound. Another painful but effective mole removal treatment method is the excision with stitches process. On this process, the entire mole, from the visible portion up to the root part, will be cut deep under in order to be completely removed.

Other modern treatment methods are the cryosurgery and the shave biopsy.  Cryosurgery is done by injecting liquid into the surrounding area of the mole until it all freezes the cells at a definite time period. The mole cells will be destroyed which signals the completion of the entire process. Shave biopsy, on the other hand, is done by using a very sharp scalpel that will lift and cut the mole and then burning it in order to prevent any open wound from bleeding.

Each treatment method is typically expensive. However, the result is a guarantee of a complete removal of mole from the surface and underneath your skin. Though there are also several known natural mole removal ingredients such as the tea tree oil, castor oil, green apple extract, onion juice, and baking soda; most people with moles still prefer the quick and safest processes. Overall, surgery as a modern method of removing mole is safer and can permanently stop the rebirth or growth of the removed moles.
