Understanding Colon du Cancer

There are several types of cancer that are very deadly to the health of any human being. Cancer is usually formed when the body produces an abnormal amount of cells which then becomes a kind of mould in some given part of  the body and then starts to eliminate the tissues in that area. The type of cancer that is present in a human being usually derives its name from the location where it has attacked, for example if a cancer attacks the lungs it will be called lung cancer, if it attacks the liver it is usually called liver cancer. Colorectal cancer which is commonly known as the colon du cancer attacks the colon of the human being.

The cancer can sometimes grow and when it is big enough it spreads to other parts of the body, for example when the excess cells that form cancer are fully developed and have been over concentrated in one area of the colon, some will start moving away to other parts of the body like the liver. However when these cells form another cancerous tumor in the liver it does not become cancer of the liver it simply remains the colon du cancer. If detected early enough the cancer can easily be treated and the patient can fully recover but if not treated in its early stages, and it gets the opportunity to spread the cancer just like all the others becomes fatal.

There is no evidence of colon du cancer spreading from one person to another or contraction, infact there are no specific causes of this type of cancer, however there are several factors that are considered to be conducive or high risk when it comes to catching it. These factors may include age; it is widely believed that people who are over sixty years of age are more likely to have the cancer. Another thing is the disease history; people who have a family history with the cancer are at a higher risk. The next thing is diet; it is believed that people who live in the western world are more likely to have the cancer than those from continents like Africa and Asia because of the difference in the diets because the western diet has more fats and sugar and less organic content like fresh vegetables and fruits.

The key to treating this type of cancer lies in early detection, the only problem is that this type of cancer does not have very visible signs or symptoms but with a medical examination that a doctor may carry out physically, he or she may detect an abnormal tumor or growth in the colon or intestine and then be able to diagnose as he deems fit. There is also another examination called the fecal occult blood test, this however is not always conclusive and therefore it is done alongside other tests just to make sure. Treatment of the cancer may involve procedures like chemotherapy, surgery and occasionally radiation may also be used.

Colon Du Cancer is most commonly searched in the following three countries: Algeria, Tunisia and France
